You know that scene in "The Terminator" when Kyle and Sarah have just fought an epic battle and reduced the Terminator to a pile of smoking rubble? And then they turn around and its skeleton is stalking towards them, gun in hand?
The Senate Rs are going to sneak in another version of repeal-and-replace. This one is the Graham-Cassidy-Heller bill. It's worse than all the others. It will zero out the ACA program entirely in 10 years. It will end federal protections for pre-existing conditions and allow health insurers to raise your premiums any time anyone in your family becomes ill.
It has a good chance of passing, for two reasons: 1) if the Rs can't pass a bill by the end of September, they won't be able to do it with only 51 votes, so they're desperate; and 2) Bernie has us all distracted with happy hokum about how Medicare For All will become the law just any minute now.
This week and next is the Battle in the Factory as far as health insurance is concerned. If we fight hard just one more time, we can probably kill the Terminator before it kills us.
Call your Senators.

This morning, a group of DREAMers who go to Dunwoody High School rallied peacefully outside the school. None of us Dunwoody residents could make it there in time to stand with them.
Show your solidarity and love by standing across the street for the school this afternoon.
We will be assembling on Vermack Road right across the street from Dunwoody High, this afternoon at 3:00 pm. The students are dismissed at 3:10. We want to show the kids who were out there this morning that we care about them and have their backs. Please bring signs and come if you can! The rally will only be half an hour long. Thank you! ...
