Qualifying for the election shall be held at City Hall, 3725 Park Avenue, Doraville, Georgia 30340 beginning on Monday August 21, 2017 through Friday, August 25, 2017 from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
City Council Post 1 – District 1 Local (Pam Tallmadge), City Council Post 2 – District 2 Local (Jim Riticher), City Council Post 3 – District 3 Local (Doug Thompson), seats are up for election.
Qualifying Fee: $360

To qualify to run the fee for the office of Mayor is $270.00 (two hundred seventy dollars), the fee for the City Council is $240.00 (two hundred forty dollars). Qualifying dates are Monday, August 21 through Wednesday, August 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and then 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Qualifying will be conducted in the Office of the City Clerk, Kym Chereck, located at 147 Technology Parkway, Suite 200, Peachtree Corners, Georgia 30092.

Each candidate needs to file a Notice of Candidacy in the office of the City Clerk of Chamblee, 5468 Peachtree Road, Chamblee, GA 30341, between Tuesday, August 22, 2017 and Thursday, August 24, 2017. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Candidates must meet the qualification of the Charter and Code of the City of Chamblee, as well as applicable state and constitutional laws.
District 2 (John Park) & 4 (Joe Gebbia) seats are up for election. Qualifying Fee: $360.
Qualifying dates are Wednesday, August 23, 2017 through Friday, August 25, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
